Naltar valley is densely forested and full of greenery, a beautiful tourist attraction located in the north of Pakistan, Gilgit-Baltistan. Naltar valley is very popular for skiing, trekking, and camping, but this is not the end here. The three green magnificent lakes at the top of the valley are wonderful. From Gilgit city, there is a 40 km long road crossing through beautiful Nomal valley.

The Naltar ski slope is the longest slop in Pakistan, Besides ski, there is the only facility for ice hockey. Naltar is at the elevation of 3150m that’s why there is heavy snowfall in winters. International skiers come here to participate in international ski tournaments held here.

Winters are much enjoyable at Naltar with heavy snowfall, the scenery at winters and summers is charming all the time.

Shepherd land

Naltar valley is actually very much a pasture, very few people live here and houses are mud build and huts. With no mobile and internet in the valley, visitors could feel like a shepherd lost in the tall trees and greenery around.

The Green lakes

The green lakes located at upper Naltar are at a distance of 12Km. You can go by jeep or by trekking it’s up to the visitor’s choice, a good trekking trail.

The green lakes look like are artificial with green color, wondering the color of the water. Above all the full moon view in the night is worth mentioning, Besides it increases the beauty of the lake. To enjoy the night at the lakes you need to stay.

If you have the plan to stay, things you must take with you.

  • A Tent
  • Sleeping bags and mat
  • Cooking stove
  • Try to bring easy to cook like noodles, vegetable as on that much height the food is not easily cooked.
