A community Living far-flung nearly lost in the horizons of Hindu Kush Mountains has much potential to give you adventure shock. Kalash valley is located in northern Pakistan bordering Afganistan. The Kalash valley religion is a form of ancient Hinduism considered to be derivated from Indo-Aryan. An utterly contradictory to the Pakistani culture. In nutshell, the mountain wrangler had magnificent Kalash valley adventure.
The culture of the pagan community

The Kalash valley has a unique culture that differs in many ways from the rest of Pakistan. They offer sacrifices for their gods and nature plays a highly significant role in their daily life. Most importantly the tradition and folklore of Kalash have been compared to that of ancient Greece. On the other hand, they are much closer to Indo-Aryan. They speak “Kalasha” language from the Dardic Family of the Indo-Aryan branch. The Kalash people are Waigali or Wai a Dardic Indo-Aryan indigenous people.
What to do in Kalash?
As they celebrate festivals thank for the plentiful resources of their three villages. The Rumbur, Bumburet and Birir valleys celebrate the festivals. They much fascinating festivals you shouldn’t be missing.
The Chilam Joshi Festival

Kalasha celebrate Chilam Joshi festival each year at the end of May. The first day “Milk Day” gathered and saved for days prior to the festival. On that day you get milk offered everywhere and that’s interesting. Kalash valley girls dressed in their black long baggy gown cotton expertly embroidered.

Is Kalash safe for foreigners?
Kalash valley attracts a lot of foreign tourists and it is safest to travel. Foreigners need to registered themselves at entry checkpoint and you will receive a foreigner registration number. As security measures, foreigners need to escort by a police guard. (foreigners are responsible to pay the guard bills) oops.
How to get there?
For Kalash valley adventure the access is through bumpy road but thrilling adventure indeed. You can take a flight from Islamabad to Chitral which operates weekly. From Chitral, you need a jeep to the Kalash valley or you can go via public transport as well.
Where to stay?

There few hotels in Kalash valley run by the Kalash people. You can stay in a guest house, which offers camping facility as well. The traditional food is just awesome and the taste is just amazing. I suggest you that you must taste the local food.
