Wrangler to Batura Glacier

The morning was sunny and shine the wrangler got awake early by the singing birds on the branches on a cherry tree. The day was good and wrangler planned to trek and explore the Batura Glacier. As he has been dreaming of a long time of exploring the mighty glacier. wrangler to Batura glacier journey started.

He was curious since he had heard of one of the largest and longest glaciers outside the polar region about 57KM, linking BATURA peak 25th tallest mountain in the world. Batura is located in upper Hunza in the extreme north of Pakistan.

He packed his gear and left for the journey from central Hunza. Wrangler took public transport and it took 40 minutes to reach the village, from where he would start his trek.

Karakoram high way thrill 

Though the 40-minute ride on Karakorum high way was itself full of adventure. The Attabad lake embeds on Karakoram high Way commonly known as the (8th wonder). The scenery is magnificent and appealing. The wanderer reached the village called Passu at upper Hunza to start the hike up to the glacier.

The wrangler met some local people there while en route. They greeted him as they knew about the wrangler what he was up to and they guide him just in case. The natives of the area are nature loving and welcoming.

Batura Kingdom 

The view of the Batura glacier was stunning. The glacier is embedded between two mountains as they are safeguarding from the rest of the region. The shape of the glacier is like long trench because of the parallel two mountains on vast horizon human’s eye can catch.

After an hour of the trek, there is hut almost half damaged looks like struggling from the bronze age. This is a stop for the trekkers because nearby water, and favorable to make tea there. Above all the view of batura kingdom, one can never miss enjoying and the clear blue sky.

Batura Trek

The weather in the area is refreshing. The freshly inhaled air gives new energy that a dead body can start to breathe. A cold breeze coming from the glacier; a blessing from the nature to give the relief to explorer if the sun is a bit tough on you.

Batura glacier trek can offer you much more one can expect. The Batura peak commonly known as Bartra Sar which stands at the very end of the glacier. While trekking roar of small avalanches and a sweet sound of the flow of water around can entertain you all the time.

Adventure glimpse 

While ascending the glacier the sun sets the cold wind blows and becomes speedy it tries to get you out of there. The night is much colder it helps the explorer give him a push when one is tired of a long trek and of course observing the scenery too.

An enthusiastic explorer could trek to 4 to 5 hour to explore the thrilling beauty. This is not the end here it’s just adventure glimpse. The interesting part is that once you get there the batura kingdom intrigues you to explore beautiful surrounding. This is the Kingdom of mountains. Wrangler to batura glacier, believe me, this is not a single day activity it’s just an adventure glimpse.

You have to come on another day.
